Arthur J. Starr, O.D.

Dr. Starr provides routine vision care, contact lens services, diagnosis, and treatment of anterior segment eye disease.

As a 30 year member on the professional panel for the New Jersey Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, he provides low vision services for those with permanent visual disabilities caused by eye diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.

Dr. Starr did his undergraduate studies at The George Washington University, receiving a bachelor of science degree in 1975. His professional education was at The State University of New York College of Optometry, graduating in 1980, receiving the degree of Doctor of Optometry. While at The State University of NY, he served as president of his class and received the Dr. Max Cohen award for community service at graduation.

Following graduation, Dr. Starr served on the faculty of the Optometric College as a clinical instructor, where he taught and supervised students and provided primary eye care. He also served as a consultant at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary before moving to South Jersey in 1982.

Dr. Starr is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, and the South Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, where he is a past president.
